Kelli Wood started Performance Fitness in 2005, with a mission to motivate and empower individuals to reach their true health and fitness potential. No matter your age or your goals in life Performance Fitness can walk you through the proper movement progression and neuromuscular development necessary to keep you fit for years to come. Discover what you are capable of and don’t let your physical body ever hold you back.

Kelli has participated in athletics since childhood. She took her first gymnastics class at age 5. After about 10 years of competitive gymnastics and an ACL injury she tried track & field in high school, one season of diving, and made the Husky Cheer Squad while studying at the University of Washington. Cheerleading was a true team sport that taught her a lot about cooperation and developed her desire to coach others. Also while strength training with a dedicated strength coach it improved her prior ACL injury, which taught her the importance of rehabilitation and injury prevention. 

 

Upon completion of a bachelor of science in Psychology at U.W. it wasn’t clear yet how her career would unfold. She knew that she needed something that involved physical activity. Personal training seemed to be a natural evolution based on her past experiences. Within one year of additional study and passing her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist exam she began her first personal training position at the Bellevue Place Club. 

 

With 20 years in the fitness industry, multiple certifications and hundreds of clients impacted it is time to bring her training methods beyond any one physical space. You can perform fitness anywhere. Let’s make sure you do it with the guidance of someone who cares about the integrity of your joints, muscles, and overall health during the process.
